The Haircut

I knew it was bound to eventually happen.... When I was Eliza's age, I snipped my bangs into a short spiky 2 cm row. My mom had to take me to the hair dresser who pulled the next layer over my spikes and cut them into bangs.

Today, I was working on some Primary stuff. There was loud construction outside, and I thought I heard a *sssssnip*. But maybe I was imagining things. So, I call to Eliza.
"Eliza, what are you doing?"
"Nothing."
And, I return to my work. A few minutes later... *sssssnip*
"Eliza, was that you?"
"Nope, not me."
One more time *sssssssnip*
"Eliza, do you have scissors?"
*silence*
I go in to see what is going on.
I find this:
That is a lot of hair!!!! Want to see the results?

I guess Rapunzel will not be letting down her hair anymore. Eliza was really disappointed that it didn't change color. Sigh. I got off this time. Hopefully, there won't be anymore hair cutting instances by Miss Eliza.

When I was pregnant with Taryn I had a dream that I came home and started screaming that all scissors needed to be put away and hidden immediately. It was a weird dream. But I have also never forgotten that dream. Probably because Taryn will end up cutting her hair off... or a finger.

I hope that day never comes, but you sure had me fooled for a moment there.
